Home sales in the month of January for the counties of Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough were off 24 percent from the previous year (January 2007). The price of these homes also fell by 15% during the same time period. Median home sale prices in the Tampa Bay FL area dropped from $220,000 to $187,000 in the past year. The average homeowner in the Tampa Bay Fl area lost $33,000 in home equity in one year! The good news? Real Estate experts see the bottom in site.
